GR/IR Account not cleared from last 4 years

Dear  experts,

My client has not been running the Transaction code F.13 From the year 2008. Hence very large no of  GR/IR line item showing as a open item.

Now my client wants to clear it.

Please suggest can we run the Transaction code  F.13 for the preceding years ? Will it create any impact in finance.
