MSS WDA confirguration for portal

Hi All,

We are using ECC 6.0 EHP7 SP12 and EP 7.31.

We have deployed business package for MSS WDA in Portal and MSS add on at ECC side.

Now we are able to see standard MSS tab in portal. We wanted to have some customization so we created a new launchpad role which is a copy of standard role and customized it.

Now we dont know where to assign this launchpad role to MSS component so that we can see customized MSS page in portal.

I have gone through various links and come to understanding that ESS can be customized via launchpad role only.

1. Are we doing right thing to customize MSS by creating a new launch pad role or should it be some different way?

2. if launch pad role way is right, then in which component configuration to assign this launch pad role to?
